1958 saw the launch of the Sherpa dive watches. Enicar adopted the Super Compressor case design manufactured by Ervin Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) from the 1950s to the 1970s. This is about as adventurous as a dive watch can get, featuring the 24-hour reading and world time bezel.
The 43mm steel compressor case remains in great condition. The watch has its original crosshatch crowns and the “sea pearl” engraving on the case back. The watch has a rotating inner bezel to monitor the 24-hour time and there is an outer world time bezel. The black dial is in good condition and the watch has classic Enicar style hands. We love the red date too! This watch will come on the pictured vintage Tropic strap and the movement has been fully. serviced by our watchmaker.
